A Degree In Physical Education - Can A Job In Coaching PE Be In Your Future?
Remember Physical education? That class was the BOMB diggity back in the old days. Like I am certain it still is for tons and tons of kids across America. It was not only a class where you didn't have to do any hard work, but it was also a class to play games, physical activities and sports. I looked forward to P.E. like I looked forward to recess & lunch. Definitely the 3 most cool and relaxing classes at school. Now, how do you think it would be to be the instructor for this class? Hey, the only thing you would need would need is a physical fitness education degree & a love for kids. Do you have these attributes?
I was not sure at the start what I wanted to go to college for. I understood I needed a higher education to compete in the business world. But what would this involve exactly? In all honesty, I did not know if I preferred a history degree or physical fitness education degree. How was I supposed to know anyway? I had never tried either vocation. Okay, this is actually a great question. So if you're considering attending a four-year University to attain a physical education degree, then perhaps you want to try your hand at it first. This is called job shadowing. You may already know that you loved P.E. back in elementary school when you were a child, but it could be relatively different on the other end. The school-teacher does a little less playing and a bit more coaching. As you probably recall your P.E. school-teacher doing.
As with most degrees, a physical education degree will take a certain amount of work & effort. Do not think for one second that you'll be able to take shortcuts simply because you are going to teach the little children. Perhaps you didn't know it, but school-teachers need their master's degrees nowadays. Maybe soon they'll need their PHDs like college professors. On the flip side of the coin, I think you can expect some serious fun to be derived from that physical education degree. I mean come on; we're not speaking about biology or algebra here. P.E. is the fun class that kids often look forward to. So if you are feeling the itch to teach & get involved with kids's fitness, then possibly a physical education degree is right up your alley.
